BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY IN NEW YORK CITY.
One in six New Yorkers—nearly 1.4 million people—lives below the federal poverty line (defined as $26,500 in annual income for a family of four). And nearly half of all New York City residents live in low-income families.
While many social and economic factors create the conditions that lead people into poverty, there are many effective solutions being delivered across New York City every day to break the cycle. Through investments in our three funding portfolios—Education; Family Support; and Youth, Workforce, and Justice—we seek to help the city's non-profit human service community create lasting change that will impact families for generations.

Internationals Network for Public Schools
Internationals Network for Public Schools (Internationals) supports public schools that serve recently immigrated, multilingual students. Throughout its network of 16 schools in New York City, Internationals provides high-quality education, including through experiential learning and language integration, for multilingual learners to thrive academically, socially- emotionally, and professionally.

Founded in 1989, Tiger Foundation has awarded more than $325 million in grants to New York City organizations working to break the cycle of poverty for individuals and families.
